Jane Flowers’ and Robert Holcombe’s paintings are sought after by discerning art buyers in the private and corporate sectors. Both Jane and Robert are renowned for their contemporary paintings and have gained national and international recognition.

Their latest works may be previewed Friday 18 January.

Jane’s large oils on canvas show her passion for the colours, patterns, textures and light inherent in the Australian landscapes and coastlines. Jane’s frequently commissioned work reflects her love of sailing and the great outdoors and are concerned with capturing the essence of time and place – “I can’t paint what I have not seen’.

Robert, an international award winning artist, is best known for his abstracted landscapes revealing his passion for the beauty, harshness and fragility of the Australian landscape. His strong lines dissect the textured and coloured canvas as the work surface is rubbed, scraped, wiped and scumbled. Robert considers his work to be earthy, with a strong environmental statement.
