CONGRATULATIONS to Di King who has recently been awarded a Gold Medal, “The Australian Art Excellence Award “, by The Australian Guild of Realist Artists, ( A.G.R.A. - a National Body), a very competitively sought after award. Di King’s love of the bush and all things Australian inspired her to join the "Cattlemen’s Association of Victoria" and the "Victorian Working Draught Horse Association." There her love of cattle drives, horsemen, dust raising, river crossings and the High Country along with her ploughing scenes has become synonymous with the art of Di King. Georgie Gall explores the vast Australian landscape in an original, textual and contemporary way. Her cool misty silver birch textual forests contrast with her organic wheat fields.
