David has been a practicing glass artist for over 25 years and his evolving ‘sea creations’ have been displayed at Seaview Gallery for the past 6 years. With a recent career change he is now able to devote more time to his passion - GLASS. He aims to produce glass with a visual edge incorporating extensive kiln-forming, painting and sand-blasting.

The inspiration for his glasswork comes from the beauty and diversity of marine life. David, a well know marine biologist, feels, “the challenge in my work is to convey the beauty of the marine environment using the fascinating and challenging medium of glass”. David has created a range of works such as, ‘Breaking waves’ ‘Historic Boats’ and ‘Exotic Fish’. This exhibition will reveal many new creations!

David is well known for his larger scale commissioned works in public spaces, especially the amazing panels displayed in the reception of the Queenscliff Marine Discovery Centre. Also a series of three panels “Diving Penguins” at the visitor’s centre of the Phillip Island Penguin Parade, and the “Tree of Life” at the Somers School Camp.

David’s marine glasswork is sought after by discerning glass collectors and this opportunity is not to be missed.
