Official Opening at the Gallery (116 Smith Street Summer Hill) by Therese Kenyon, Director, Manly Art Gallery and Museum, 7.30pm on Thursday 1 April 2004

Preview on Wednesday 31 March 2004 from 6pm to 8pm

The Gallery will be closed over the Easter weekend.

 

Biographical Notes

 

Born: UK, 1926. Studied: Winchester School of Art.

Settled in Australia 1951 where he taught at the National Art School (NAS) Sydney from 1952 to 71, head of NAS and state supervisor of art in 1971. He was Director of Art Gallery of NSW 1971-77. Began painting fulltime in 1978.
