COUTA REFLECTIONS – Group Exhibition
Opening Saturday 18 Feb – 4:00 – 7:00pm               Exhibition Saturday 18 – Sunday 26 Feb

This exhibition is in celebration of the ‘Blessing of the Fleet” on Sunday 26 Feb – a wonderful festival at Queenscliff.

Paintings of Jane Flowers, Alan Morgan, Amanda Hyatt and Lindsay Womersley will be featured. All are well known for depicting the colors and the feel of boats and sea. Amanda’s minimal bold brush strokes bring the boats in a harbor to life. Lindsay’s water colors are renowned for capturing the dinghy resting quietly on the sand or a couta’s reflection at its moorings. Whereas, seascapes with yachts, couta boats, ships, lighthouses and piers form a major part of Alan’s water color paintings. On viewing Jane’s large and small canvases, one is instantly aware of her knowledge of Couta boats, and her love of sailing becomes apparent. Many other images of coastal and seascapes will also be exhibited.
