NEW FEATURE Jinta Desert Art NEW FEATURE

To all our registered members and clients, The new gallery is finished and running well and we are now able to concentrate on new events and features on our website. The "Painting of the Week" will be the first of the new feature on our website to be launched, we have started work on our news letter which will be e-mailed to you every quarter, this letter will highlight important events surrounding the aboriginal art and our selected artists. a auction where we will be offering two selected works to be auctioned over the period of one month every month.

Painting of the Week

This is the first of what we intend to be a regular event, which will be the "Painting of the week". Each week we will be choosing a work from our stock room or a recent acquisitions, a work of great quality and value, to highlight as our painting of the week, these paintings will be chosen from the core group of leading artist that we represent. For those who do not wish to recieve this regular update, please send us a email indicating that you wish to be taken of the weekly update mailing list.

This weeks work is by Ronnie Tjampitjinpa, titled "Tingarri", completed in 2001, the painting measures 122cm x 214 cm and is acrylic on linen. This work is constructive in it's use of line and colour and would make a great addition for any quality collection at all levels. This is a major painting by Ronnie, and it has a presence that cannot be appreciated from the image that we have featured here. At $19,000, this is a quality work at a reasonable price, with Ronnie's work going from strength to strength at quality Auctions and galleries, works of this quality by this great master artist will become a rare commodity in the future.

Web update

We have recently updated our website with fifty new images, so there is plenty of new work for those who haven't had time to visit the gallery recently to view on line. For our local clients in Sydney we don't suggest this as the best way to see the work, as there is nothing quite like the experience of art first hand, but if there are not enough hours in the day, then this is the next best thing. www.jintaart.com.au

Valuations

With the growing interest both here and abroad in the work of our Western Desert Masters, the value of which has appreciated markedly in recent years, it is an appropriate time for those who are lucky enough to own a painting by one of the masters, to have the work valued. Semon Deeb of Jinta Desert Art Gallery is a fully qualified valuer, registered with the Valuers Council of Australia, at Jinta we offer a complete valuation service with full documentation of both the work and the artist. Please telephone to enquire about our Valuation services on tel: 612 9290 3639 or email Semon Deeb at [email protected].
