Painting of the Week

This week is week 5 of our "Painting of the Week" series, and we have a work by Ada Bird Petyarre titled "Women's Ceremony Body Painting". Painted in 1995 . This painting is from our stockroom and has been maturing for the past 6 years making it a top class Ada painting for todays market.

Consideration of offer conditions

If the suggested price is offered then the painting will be sold immediately otherwise we will take offers up to the suggested price. Each painting will be available for offer for a two month period. Our absolute lowest acceptance target is 20% off the suggested price or better. At the end of the two month we will announce if we have accepted the highest offer or withdrawn the painting. There will be some great paintings on offer so I hope you can participate on some.

Painting of the week archive

Our past Paintings of the Week archive, here you can revisit paintings from previous weeks, and still have the opportunity to make an offer, if the work has not yet sold. This has become a convenient method for our clients and members to inter-react with us here at the gallery, and keep abreast with what is going on in the world of Aboriginal Art. It is certainly an opportunity to review a fine selection of works in detail, with their Dreaming Stories and the artist's biography.

Valuations

With the growing interest both here and abroad in the work of our Central and Western Desert Masters, the value of which has appreciated markedly in recent years, it is an appropriate time for those who are lucky enough to own a painting by one of the masters, to have the work valued. Semon Deeb of Jinta Desert Art Gallery is a fully qualified valuer, registered with the Valuers Council of Australia (JATVC), at Jinta we offer a complete valuation service with full documentation of both the work and the artist. Please telephone to enquire about our Valuation services on
