The Gallery is privileged to represent the personal work of 26 of Australia�s finest professional photographers. It provides rare access to some of the Nation�s finest contemporary photography. Phillip Adams, celebrated journalist and media personality opened the gallery and inaugural exhibition on 17th August 2005. The opening show includes 52 images chosen by the Gallery�s Director, renowned advertising photographer, North Sullivan and photographer Moshe Rosenzveig creator of the Head On annual photographic portrait award. The Australian Photographers� Gallery is more than a gallery that shows photo-art. This space is dedicated to showcasing and selling works by Australia�s universally acclaimed professionals who have earned their reputations in the exacting commercial world. Gallery Director, North Sullivan believes that �It�s about time we had a photography gallery for photographers, run by photographers. More to the point, I see this as a great vehicle to push fine photography in the broader marketplace.� Sullivan hopes to make Photography more accessible to art savvy collectors as well as the public generally. Exhibitions include works by such internationally recognised photographers as Tim Hixon, Anthony Browell, Sally Mayman and others. The Australian Photographers� Gallery provides an opportunity to acquire handcrafted original archival Ultrachrome photographic prints, both through the Gallery and by direct consultation with corporate and private clients. Australia�s finest prints may be purchased outright or leased and can be custom printed to a range of sizes. The Gallery also provides a personalised consultation service and ensures that each client�s aesthetic needs are met with over 50 years of cumulative knowledge gleaned in International Photographic and Fine Art industries.
