Disability in the Arts, Disadvantage in the Arts, Australia (WA) Inc

OUR VISION

Arts for Social change

OUR MISSION

DADAA WA empowers communities through the creation of innovative art processes that reflect the specific needs of people with disabilities through a combination of community cultural development, arts and health practices.

FORWARD

Welcome to the 2005 DADAA WA Service Directory. Now in our eleventh year and with services from Broome to Albany, DADAA WA offers a rounded arts service to Western Australians with disabilities of any age.

Our services are a result of partnerships encompassing Disability and Health, Community Cultural Development, the Arts, Training and Education, and Corporate sectors, who recognize that access to the Arts and Culture is a right for every Western Australian.

Individuals can participate in arts programs as a tool through which to: Gain professional development; Participate in recreation; Access an alternative to employment; Gain respite; Integrate with their local

community; Generate income; Access training; Increase wellbeing;

Or simply to socialize and have fun.

We look forward to working with the many communities across WA in which DADAA WA has developed localized services. With offices in Fremantle, Midland and Lancelin and regional services in Albany, Bunbury, Broome, Port Hedland and the communities of Punmu, Parngurr and Kunawarritji, DADAA WA is proud to join with the communities in which it works, applying the Arts as a tool for social and individual change.
