As a general rule of thumb: HTML programming can be the least expensive aspect of web site development. Good web site development planning minimizes other expenses so that time spent coding, followed by design consultation, becomes your major investment. Time spent travelling to photograph and interview time make web site development costs jump. Scanning multiple images makes costs fly into the stratosphere. Bringing artworks to the photographer, to be photographed digitally, cuts down on scan time and increases image quality. Very high quality printed photographs to be scanned are more economical that paying someone to come out and take photos if travel time is high and the image production costs are low.

The Coonabarabran Show			This site took: one afternoon and an evening to shoot, 6:30 hours to format, due to repetative processing of the 134 images that were presented in two formats. All images were linked to large copies. Uploading took 2:30 hours, again due to the use of large images. Total cost: $1 800 plus $5 per month hosting.
Felicity Waterford			This site took 25 minutes to format, 30 minutes interview time and 30 minutes to scan and process images provided by the artist as photos and small scale originals. Total cost: $85, plus $5 per month for hosting.
Norma Tahhan Khoury			This took 4:15 hours, including digital documentation of original artworks, on site, and development of the on-line gallery. Total cost: $255, plus $5 per month for hosting.
Sarah Runcie Film CV			Sarah's was a fun site to make. We sampled her hand-writing for the trick on her front page. The site took 2:30 hours to format, including scanning 15 photos she bought back from Nova Scotia, plus 20 minutes of taking her photo for the film marque at the bottom of her CV page with a digicam. Total cost: $170, plus $5 per month hosting.
Frances Keogh			I don't gel with Francis' colour scheme, however, customers can have what they want. The top row are scans of his photos of early works and the on-line gallery is made from images taken in my backyard. Formatting took about 25 minutes. Total cost: $90, plus $5 per month for hosting.
